Not only does the leveling plate make it easy to sew on buttons, it's also a great tool for changing your needle. You should be doing this more often than you think.

How it works

Sew on button

The leveling plate allows you to sew buttons with stems. The two sides of the plate have different thicknesses and are designed for longer and shorter stems, respectively. The leveling plate is also suitable for adjusting the presser foot height when sewing over thick seams.

1. Place the compensating plate between the button and the fabric.
2. Place the button and sew it on according to your sewing machine's instructions.
