Bernette straight stitch plate for b70/b77/b79

The bernette straight stitch plate is the original replacement part for the straight stitch plate supplied with your bernette b70 DECO, b77, or b79. It is ideal for precise straight stitching and embroidery work and can also be used for cutwork projects. The small, round needle hole provides better support for the fabric during straight stitching – in combination with a presser foot with a small opening, this results in a particularly clean stitch pattern.

In everyday use, burrs and damage can occur on the needle plate after needle breakage or intensive use. If these cannot be cleanly removed, it can lead to thread problems, uneven fabric feed, or fabric snagging at the needle entry point. In such cases, replacement is the most reliable solution – and you'll once again have a smooth, clean contact surface for controlled seams.

1. Switch off the machine and disconnect it from the power supply.
2. Remove the bobbin cover, needle, and presser foot.
3. Loosen the screws of the needle plate with a screwdriver and remove the needle plate.
4. Insert a new straight stitch plate and tighten the screws.
   

Tip: For best results with a straight stitch, use a foot with a small opening.
