The BERNINA Large Magnetic Hoop, with a maximum embroidery area of 210 × 400 mm, offers plenty of space for expressive embroideries, large designs, and extensive quilting projects. It is particularly suitable for table runners, quilts, home textiles, and other projects where a generous embroidery area is required.

Instead of traditional hooping, the magnetic hoop securely holds fabric and embroidery stabilizer in place. This results in fewer unwanted pressure or hoop marks on the material. Especially delicate, thick, or difficult-to-hoop materials such as velvet, leather, and vinyl can be gently prepared for machine embroidery in this way.

The hoop also simplifies work with bulky or already sewn textiles. Jackets, shorts, caps, and similar projects can be positioned more comfortably, as the material does not have to be painstakingly aligned between two tightly tensioned hoop parts. After embroidering one area, the fabric can be easily repositioned. This is particularly practical for long borders, recurring patterns, and multi-part embroideries.

First, place the appropriate embroidery fleece for your project under the material to be embroidered. Position the fabric and fleece as smoothly and without tension as possible in the embroidery hoop. Then, secure both layers with the hoop's magnetic system and check that the entire embroidery area is held securely.

Attach the hoop to the compatible BERNINA embroidery module and check the position of the embroidery design before starting. For garments and closed textiles, ensure that no other fabric layers are located beneath the embroidery area.

After completing a section, the material can be released, realigned, and re-secured. This allows for the embroidery of longer designs, borders, and large quilting projects in sections.
