BERNINA Patchwork Foot #97D

The BERNINA Patchwork Foot #97D is a special presser foot for precise, straight seams when patchwork and quilting. It is designed for BERNINA machines with a 9 mm stitch width and the BERNINA Dual Feed system. Three side notches make it easier to orient the fabric edge and support sewing seam allowances of 3 mm, 6 mm, and 7.5 mm. The sole of the foot is designed for careful fabric and stitch guidance, allowing patchwork pieces to be sewn together in a controlled manner. The movable seam guide, included in the delivery, also helps to achieve particularly straight 6 mm seams.

Attach the BERNINA Patchwork Foot #97D to your compatible BERNINA sewing machine with 9 mm stitch width and Dual Feed system. For patchwork, usually select a straight stitch and align the fabric edges with the sole of the foot or the side alignment notches. This allows you to sew consistent seam allowances of 3 mm, 6 mm, or 7.5 mm.

For particularly straight 6 mm seams, place the included adjustable seam guide on the sewing machine's sewing bed. It serves as an additional guide for the fabric edge and helps you to guide the fabric smoothly and straight. Before changing the presser foot, the sewing machine should be turned off. Also, before starting, check that the foot and guide rail are correctly seated and suitable for the machine model being used.
