BERNINA Invisible Zipper Foot #35

The BERNINA invisible zipper foot #35 was specially developed for the precise insertion of invisible zippers. Its two slanted guide grooves on the underside accommodate the zipper coils and hold them evenly in position during sewing. This allows the needle to be guided particularly close to the coil without the zipper slipping or being sewn in unevenly. The result is cleanly finished, discreet closures that are ideal for high-quality clothing and fine accessories. The foot is designed for BERNINA machines with 5.5 mm and 9 mm stitch width.

Fully open the invisible zipper and place it right sides together with the fabric edge according to your pattern instructions. Attach the BERNINA zipper foot #35 and feed one side of the zipper coil into one of the slanted grooves on the underside of the foot. As you sew, the coil will be slightly opened and reliably guided, ensuring that the seam runs particularly close to the coil.

Sew both sides of the zipper one after the other, then check the result with the zipper closed. For a particularly clean finish, the remaining seam below the zipper is then closed according to the instructions of the respective project.
