This ITH project shows you how to create a complete zippered pouch directly in the embroidery hoop – without any additional sewing. The finished pouch is not only cute and practical, but also versatile – for example, as a cosmetic bag or a small treat bag for walking the dog.

Perfect for those who want more than decoration
Unlike simple appliqué projects, this pouch has a functional design. The embroidery file guides you step by step through the construction of the zipper, lining, and backing. Ideal for ambitious beginners or advanced stitchers.

This is what you need to embroider:
– Embroidery frame at least 15 x 18 cm
– Fabric cuts (2x per part – outer fabric + lining):
• Top: 19 x 6 cm
• Bottom part: 19 x 10 cm
• Back: 19 x 16 cm
– Zipper: 2.5 x 20 cm
– Tear-off fleece or Soft'n Sheer as underlay
– Paper tape (e.g. washi tape)
– Optional: Spray adhesive (only for non-lifelike use)
– Ribbon for the loop

Note on material selection:
If the bag is used as a food bag for animals, please avoid using glue and ensure that the materials used are harmless to health.
