The cording foot is perfect for three-dimensional satin stitch embroidery. A cord guided by the presser foot is simultaneously sewn on.

How it works

1. Thread embroidery thread No. 40 as the upper thread and sewing thread as the lower thread.
2. Thread the cord into the guide on the presser foot. Position the cord, whether on a spool or loose, so that it is pulled evenly into the presser foot while sewing.
3. Select a narrow satin stitch. (Follow the appliqué instructions in your manual and adjust the zigzag stitch width so it just covers the outline thread.) On computerized sewing machines, select the preprogrammed satin stitch and precisely adjust the stitch length and width for sewing over the cord. On other machines, set the zigzag stitch to a stitch length of 0.3-0.5 and a stitch width of 1.5-2.
4. Trace a pattern on the fabric and sew along this mark. The pattern outline will then be outlined with a three-dimensional satin stitch.
