Madeira Cotton Soft is a soft, lightweight cotton tear-away stabilizer for machine embroidery, appliqués, buttonholes, and decorative stitching. It stabilizes the fabric during embroidery, prevents distortion, and can then be easily torn away in both directions. The roll contains 30 cm × 50 m and is available in white or black.

Application

Cut Cotton Soft to fit the size of the embroidery hoop and place it under the fabric to be embroidered. Stretch both the fabric and the interlining smoothly into the embroidery hoop. Make sure not to over-stretch the interlining unnecessarily and not to pull on the edges after hooping.

Then, perform the desired machine embroidery, appliqué, buttonhole, or decorative seam. After the embroidery is complete, remove the project from the hoop. Hold the embroidery firmly and carefully tear off the excess interlining along the edges of the design. Small remaining interlining remnants can stay on the back and will become pleasantly soft after washing.
