Madeira - Wash Away (200m)

MADEIRA's Wash Away basting thread is made from 100% polyvinyl alcohol and comes on a 200m snap spool. It can be used like ordinary sewing thread – however, when sewing by machine, the speed and thread tension should be reduced. Upon contact with water or steam, the thread dissolves completely, eliminating the need for tedious removal of basting stitches. It is particularly suitable for temporary seams, such as setting in sleeves, attaching pockets, basting zippers, hemming, pleating, fittings, quilting, and appliqué.
