The Husqvarna VIKING maxi piping foot helps you make substantial piping and sew it neatly between two fabric layers. Its guide keeps the covered cord close to the seam.

Making piping

1. Cut a sufficiently wide fabric strip on the bias or across the grain.
2. Place the cord on the wrong side of the fabric and fold the strip around it.
3. Attach the foot to the right of the needle, position the cord on the left side of the foot and sew with a straight stitch and left needle position.

Inserting piping

1. Pin the piping along the seam line on the right side of the fabric.
2. Place the second fabric piece right sides together and sew close to the cord.
3. Carefully clip the seam allowance around curves so it lies smoothly.

For compatible Husqvarna VIKING machine groups 1 to 7. Test the needle position with your cord thickness on a scrap first.
