The Prym MAXI rotary cutter with a 45 mm blade enables clean and precise cuts, accurate to the millimeter, for sewing, patchwork, and quilting projects. The sharp stainless steel blade cuts through four to eight layers of fabric, depending on the material, and can also handle sturdy fabrics such as denim, leather, linen, or fleece. The rotary cutter can be used forwards and backwards and is suitable for both right- and left-handed users.

Application

Lay the fabric flat and smooth, without wrinkles, on a suitable cutting mat. For straight cuts, position a patchwork ruler or another suitable guide on the fabric and hold it securely.

Then, open the blade guard of the rotary cutter. Guide the blade along the ruler or desired cutting line with even, controlled pressure. The rotary cutter can be moved both forwards and backwards.

When working with multiple layers of fabric, be particularly careful and ensure that the individual layers do not slip. After cutting, close the blade guard immediately. Never use the rotary cutter directly on a table or a delicate work surface; always use it with a suitable cutting mat.
