The Omnigrid universal ruler is made of robust plastic and designed for precise measuring, marking, and cutting in patchwork and sewing. The high-contrast grid provides clear guidance on both light and dark materials, while the printed grid on the underside reduces optical distortion when using the ruler. Its sturdy thickness allows it to be used securely as a guide for rotary cutters and drawknives. Angle markings for typical patchwork geometries and a hanging loop for tidy workspace complete the design.

Place the ruler flat on the fabric and align the inch scale or grid lines with the selvedge, seam line, or existing marking. To cut with a rotary cutter, press the ruler firmly against the fabric with the flat of your hand (fingers away from the cutting edge) and guide the rotary cutter along the ruler's edge. For angled cuts, use the integrated angle markings (30°/45°/60°), for example, for binding strips, triangles, or diamonds. Afterward, hang the ruler by its eyelet or store it flat to keep it permanently flat.
