For a narrow hem on cotton fabrics, for example, suitable for napkin edges, curtains, and ruffles. For a narrow hem on very light fabrics such as silk scarves, batiste napkins, shirts, ruffles, and underwear.

How it works

1. Set straight stitch with stitch length 2.
2. Insert hemmer foot.

For normal woven fabrics

1. Set stitch length 2.5-3.
2. Insert hemmer foot.
3. Fold the first few centimeters of the seam allowance into a rolled hem.
4. Place the hem under the hemming foot and sew a few stitches along the hem edge.
5. With the needle in the fabric, raise the presser foot, and thread the edge of the fabric into the hemmer foot's guide. Lower the presser foot and continue sewing. Do not assist in sewing the hem; simply guide the edge of the fabric gently into the guide.
