TheSchmetz Super Stretch needle 130/705 H HS (HAx1 SP) in size 75is the ideal choice for sewingparticularly stretchy and sensitive materialssuch as Lycra, Spandex, Powernet or modern functional fabrics.

Compared to the classic stretch needle, it offers aeven more stable shaft construction, oneprecisely coordinated eyelet-cove combinationand aslightly rounded tipwhich works reliably even in difficult seam situations – such as overlapping elastic bands, cuffs or multi-layered elastic fabrics.

Skipped stitches, thread breakage, and material distortion are significantly reduced thanks to the optimized design. The Super Stretch needle is suitable for all common household sewing machines with flat shanks and can also be used in some overlock models, provided they accept flat shank needles.

Instructions for use:

  • Use aStitch length of 2.5–3.0 mmfor stretchy seams
  • When using overlock: Check beforehand whether flat shank needles are permitted
  • Suitable forelastic yarnslike Seraflex for maximum stretchability
  • Test run recommended– especially with slippery or coated fabrics
  • Change needle regularly: after 6–8 hours at the latest or at the first missed stitches
