overview

Knitting socks with a jacquard pattern is currently very trendy. However, it requires considerable knitting experience to knit socks with several strands at once. This is where FinnSocks come into play. Their pattern on the leg may look like jacquard, but it's a combination of knit stitches and slip stitches. The clever color change creates the small geometric shapes. But one thing is certain: only one strand is used per round.

The colors of the raised stitch pattern are repeated in the cuff, the boomerang heel and the sling star tip.

Two different slip stitch patterns are used: a check pattern is knitted in the upper and lower sections. An interlocking stripe pattern is worked as the main pattern in between.

FinnSocks can be knitted in all sizes. They are completely neutral and, depending on the color choice, are suitable for women, men, and children. For children's socks, you should experiment with the different patterns, depending on the size. For very small socks, you might want to use only the check pattern; for medium sizes, you can also use the main pattern. For adult socks, the solid-colored stripes between the slip stitch patterns can be knitted over a larger number of rounds, depending on the desired leg length, from about size 42/43 onwards, so that the patterns are evenly distributed across the leg.
