Knitting instructions men's socks SWEN (PDF)

SwenSocks are men's socks with pretty patterns on the upper foot and cuff. They are simply knitted by knitting and purling in a predefined pattern. This is ensured by the charts, which vary depending on the size.

The socks are knitted toe-up, starting at the toe. The popular and well-fitting slingshot toe is used for this. The increases, which give the socks more width at the heel, are located under the ball of the foot on the SwenSocks. The heel itself consists of a heel curve and a heel wall, where the stitches increased at the sole are reduced again. The cuff is finished with knit and purl stitches, which are cast off with an elastic yarn over.

As with many sockshype sock designs, SwenSocks also use special knitting techniques:

• 1 ball of sock yarn 420 m/100 g for sizes 46/47 and above, possibly more.
• Possibly 1 yarn remnant for lace and cuffs in a different color
• 1 double-pointed needle 2.5 mm

  2.5 - 3 mm, if possible without handle
