TheOlettaSocksThese pretty country socks go perfectly with not only a dirndl but also jeans. They begin with a mouse-tooth edge. Once the double cuff is finished, the pattern begins: small double cables, framed by purl stitches and a line of knit stitches. Additionally, small nubs are worked in the upper section.

The heel of the OlettaSocks is a heel-increase, where the increases form a decorative gusset on each side. The pattern continues across the heel in the area of the increases. The gussets give the socks more width at the transition from the shaft to the foot, ensuring a perfect fit.

Below the sole, the increases are reduced again using shortened rows.

The OlettaSocks are finished with a ribbon toe.

This is what you need for the Oletta socks:

• 100 g plain colored sock yarn 420 m/50 g
• 1.60 m cotton yarn or other non-felting yarn in a contrasting color
• Double pointed needles 2.5 mm, alternatively circular knitting needle 80 cm or double pointed needles such as Neko Bambus Flex 2.5 mm
• 1 crochet hook 2.5 - 3 mm
• 1 pair of scissors
• 2 stitch markers (=MM)
• 1 sewing needle
