Sulky Thermofilm

SULKY THERMOFILM is a wafer-thin, transparent embroidery foil ideal for stabilizing water-sensitive fabrics such as silk, velvet, or wool. After embroidery, the foil is not washed out but dissolved by heat: simply pass a hot iron over the embroidery motif in circular motions – leaving only your perfect result. The foil is particularly suitable for flat fabrics, but not for deep-pile materials such as terry cloth.

1. Place the Thermofilm foil on the fabric. The rough side of the foil must be touching the fabric.
2. Hoop everything into the frame and embroider as usual.
3. After embroidering, carefully remove any coarse residue.
4. Place a piece of baking paper over the motif and iron in circular motions (without steam - 2-3 points with the iron).
5. The film dissolves without leaving any residue due to the heat.
