SULKY Totally Stable – Iron-On Tear-Away Stabilizer

SULKY Totally Stable is a temporary iron-on 48 g/m² tear-away stabilizer for stretchy and delicate fabrics. Iron the coated side to the wrong side of the fabric using light pressure and medium heat, then hoop fabric and stabilizer together. Tear away the excess after stitching. Do not iron onto nylon or Lycra, as these materials can melt at low temperatures and bond permanently to the stabilizer.

Available roll sizes: 0,25 m × 10 m (2,5 m²), 0,5 m × 10 m (5 m²). Please select your preferred size.

Sulky® Totally Stableis a temporary iron-on embroidery and sewing stabilizer specially developed for stretchy fabrics. It reliably stabilizes jersey, stretch, or knit fabrics during embroidery or sewing—without permanently stiffening them. The glossy side of the stabilizer is heat-activated and gently adheres to the back of the fabric. After processing, Totally Stable can be easily torn out and removed without leaving any residue. The material consists of a cellulose-polyester blend with a polyethylene coating and is certified according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. Ideal for projects such as buttonholes, monograms, or decorative stitches on stretchy fabrics.

Application

Cut the fleece to the required size.
Place the shiny side on the back of the fabric.
Press with an iron (without steam) for 12-15 seconds.
Embroider or sew the fabric as desired.
After processing, simply tear out the fleece.
Tip: Try it out on a test piece first!

Is Totally Stable suitable for Jersey?

Yes, it is ideal for stretchy fabrics such as jersey or stretch fabrics as it provides hold and can be easily removed after embroidery.

Does the fleece leave residue?

No, nothing remains after tearing out - provided it was ironed on and removed correctly.
