The bernette b08 Straight Stitch is a high-speed sewing machine for anyone who frequently sews long, precise straight seams. This mechanically operated straight-stitch machine reaches up to 1,600 stitches per minute and maintains strong performance at lower speeds thanks to its powerful DC motor. It is suited to patchwork and quilting as well as bags, clothing, denim, leather and multiple fabric layers.
For larger projects, the bernette b08 provides 225 mm of space to the right of the needle and 140 mm of working height. The included extension table increases the support surface to 60 × 40 cm. A knee lifter, speed control, needle stop up/down and automatic thread trimmer help you guide the fabric securely and keep your workflow efficient.
The side-access XL bobbin holds up to 40% more thread than a standard bobbin. An independent bobbin-winding motor lets you wind the next bobbin while sewing. Adjustable presser foot pressure and manually adjustable upper and bobbin thread tensions give you additional control over different materials and thread weights.

The bernette b08 is a suitable main or additional machine when straight stitching is central to your work. It supports long seams, patchwork, topstitching and quilting, as well as bags, clothing, home textiles and hard-wearing projects.
The speed control lets you adjust the pace to the material and task. The DC motor delivers power even at low speeds, while the maximum speed makes quick work of long seams. A separate industrial pretensioner is available for thicker threads.
The b08 sews straight stitch only, with a fixed needle position. Zigzag stitches, buttonholes and decorative stitches require an additional machine with those functions. For free-motion quilting, cover the non-retractable feed dog with the optional darning plate.
