BERNINA Medium Border Magnetic Embroidery Hoop – 16.5 × 40 cm

The BERNINA Medium Clamp Hoop was specially developed for long embroidery designs, design combinations, and continuous borders. With a maximum embroidery area of 165 × 400 mm, it offers plenty of space for elongated designs, lettering, and decorative pattern sequences. The magnetic fastening allows the embroidery material to be easily inserted and held securely, without having to clamp it in place as with a classic two-piece embroidery hoop.

The Clamp Hoop truly shows its advantages, especially with delicate or difficult-to-hoop materials. Velvet, leather, vinyl, organza, and chiffon can be gently secured without the hoop leaving unwanted pressure marks on the material. Even already sewn, bulky, or unwieldy projects such as jackets, hats, and shorts can be positioned more comfortably.

After embroidering a section, the material can be quickly released, advanced, and re-secured. This makes the hoop particularly suitable for borders, recurring patterns, and larger design combinations that are embroidered in sections. The uncomplicated re-hooping saves time and makes it easier to continue the design as accurately as possible.

Place the appropriate embroidery stabilizer for your project, then your fabric, onto the magnetic hoop. Carefully align the desired embroidery area within the usable embroidery surface and secure the material with the hoop's magnetic system. Ensure that the fabric lies flat but is not distorted or excessively stretched.

Mount the embroidery hoop to a compatible BERNINA embroidery module according to the operating instructions and select the corresponding hoop on the machine. Then check the size and position of the embroidery design before starting the embroidery process.

For borders or longer design combinations, first embroider the initial section. Then release the magnetic fixation, move the material to the next designated position, and re-secure it. Use existing positioning marks or the placement functions of your BERNINA to ensure that the individual embroidery sections connect as precisely as possible.

Adequately support large or heavy projects during embroidery so that their weight does not pull on the embroidery hoop or embroidery module.
