Gunold's STIFFY precuts are the reliable choice for anyone who values professional embroidery. Available in 20 x 20 cm format and two versions – STIFFY 1650 tear-away backing (50 g/m²) and STIFFY 1950 cut-away backing (80 g/m²) – they fit perfectly into the Hoop-Master system and Mighty Hoops up to 6.5".

STIFFY 1650 – Tear-off fleece:
Ideal for medium-weight fabrics like cotton, shirting, or thinner jeans. It can be torn cleanly in all directions after stitching, is minimally bulky, and provides a comfortable fit.

STIFFY 1950 – Cutting fleece:
Particularly suitable for heavy materials such as caps, horse blankets, or thick denim. After embroidery, the stabilizer is trimmed back around the motif – what remains provides permanent stability and increases the longevity of your embroidery.

Clamp the fleece with the fabric into the embroidery frame

After embroidery:
