TheSchmetz leather needle 130/705 H-LL in size 90is specially designed for sewing genuine leather, thick synthetic leather and sturdy, non-textile materials. YourLL cutting tip (leather left tip)enables targeted penetration into the material instead of displacing it. This creates clean punctures with clear seam patterns – without tearing or material deformation.

Thanks to its standardized flat shank, the needle fits all standard household sewing machines. The size 90 is ideal for medium-thick leather or synthetic leather and ensures stable, durable sewing—ideal for bags, belts, leather accessories, or robust decorative work.

Please note: This needle isnot suitable for fabric or jersey, and alsonot for machine embroiderybecause the cutting tip damages textile fibers.

Important instructions:

• Use alonger stitch length (approx. 3–4 mm)to avoid perforations and material weakening.
• Lock the beginning and end of the seambest by hand or with textile glue, instead of backstitch.
• For very soft artificial leather or oilcloth, a Microtex needle may be a better choice.
• Not suitable for woven or knitted fabrics– please use universal, jersey or microtex needles here.
